Training has been proceeding to plan and I feel stronger and fitter than I have in a very long time. The cycle to work (40 miles a day) obviously has nothing to do with that.....hahahaha.
I have also decided to look at starting up my own business again. After working for a few less than inspirational bosses I feel managing myself, my interests and my income is something I would like to attempt. So I started researching my options and have successfully registered myself with DEFRA as a reptile courier. Sticking with a bit of tradition I decided on Padda Reptile Courier as a apt name.
Padda has not seen a start yet as I am still in the process of purchasing a van and getting goods insurance and public liability insurance together. But making a start is the best step forward. I have even made some business cards to start advertising.....
So all that remains is taking that first booking and making it work!
I also have my first race sneaking up soon....on the 4th of March I will be racing in Wimborne Dorset in the Mad March triathlon. Will keep you posted on my results!
Till then.....'Live every day as if its your last!'

2012 so far!
Well 2012 so far has been good. I have stuck to my training regime and I am seeing results. If I keep this up will definitely be in good shape for a good season.
As I mentioned last time TRIUK will be my sponsors again in 2012 and this year I want to impress and represent them to the best of my abilities. If I get the chance to compete for GB again that will be a bonus. But that is really the long term plan.
I started booking my races and have 8 confirmed in the calendar:
4 March 2012 Mad March triathlon in Dorset.
22 April 2012 London Marathon in London.
6 May 2012 Dorset Try a Tri in Dorset.
13 May 2012 Southwell Triathlon in Southwell.
27 May 2012 Chiltern 100 in Amersham.
3 June 2012 Weymouth Sprint Triathlon.
8 July 2012 Bournemouth Sprint Triathlon.
22 July 2012 London Spartan Race.
The rest is still being planned and I should have it sorted in a couple of weeks. So keep looking back!
If you do want to support my marathon run please go to

Anyway check in again soon.....

2011 and all that was!
Well after a very shaky year I am back blogging. But my reason have changed slightly.......I am now doing a blog mainly for my 10 year old daughter in Australia. Oh my now I have shocked a few of you!
Yes I have a gorgeous daughter, Liane living in Australia. A long and complicated story which I wont bore you with but kinda the story off my life. Anyway I am very very excited and over the moon. That was the best part of 2011.
Another good part of 2011 is that my sponsor, TRIUK, have indicated that they will keep me on for another year. 2012 is gonna be a big racing year cause I need to give back for the trust they have placed in me. I want to pull some great results out the bag.
But like I said 2011 hasn't been without its hick-ups. One of which was 6 months unemployment. My own doing and something I kinda regret but also don't. If I regret it it means I have not learnt a thing out of that experience and I haven't grown. Well I have! Part of unemployment was joining the army and realising that I am not as young as I think I am. Basic training was one of the hardest things I have ever done. Even up there with swimming 7 miles of the English Channel.
Life is kinda back on track now with work in Brixton, house share in Ashford and triathlon training on track and best of all a weekly chat with my gorgeous little girl.
Anyway for a first one this is it and keep checking back cause needless to say I WILL have a lot of news in 2012.....
